We are hosting a day long Christmas crafting workshops December 9th starting at 9:00. Choose one or stay for more! See the workshops posted below.

We will have some snacks but feel free to bring a lunch and water.

You asked for it, time to up your upholstery game!

TIME: 9:00am - 4:00pm

BOOKING DEADLINE: November 4, 2023

CAPACITY: 6 chairs per class (You can bring in a building buddy!)

NOTE: Minimum of 4 chairs booked to run this workshop.

We are teaching you how to build and upholster a full size, fully upholstered arm chair! Join in on this exciting building experience. You have a choice of 4 colours or go off grid and submit your own fabric for us to pre sew for a small upcharge.

Chair is a tight seat & tight back and approx 32”W x 34”D x34”H

DAIKU (Japanese for Carpenter) was an idea created by Alex and myself to meet the demands of all our wonderful workshop past participants requesting a challenge. The idea struck when both Alex and I had our travels to Japan and admired the furniture that married simple lines and great function with adaptability. Over a year in the making and now available to DIY!

What you need:

if you are thinking about your upholstery DIY projects. Laura will be there to talk about how to start, what to look for, best prep and everything up to being able to sit in it again while she works on a piece right in front of you.

We encourage you to bring your (small) project to the tent and Laura can help walk you through your steps in the Q&A portion of the demonstration. Bring a Pen and Paper!
