There is always something new to learn.
Rod says I can't teach. I say I can't teach him. Big difference.
I have just wrapped up another annual Upholstery course within our workshop and I still get the "good feels" when we wrap it up.
If I am told I need to address a room of strangers I will immediately break into cold sweats and get that awful feeling in my gut like I just pushed the limit on the lunch meat best before date. Having said that, if I get to ramble on about one of my favorite subjects like what I do for a living I get excited and it's hard to shut me up. My students would most likely agree.

As much as it saps energy getting everything prepared, I get a recharge when everyone starts arriving. There are the "It seemed like a good thing when I signed up" people. They are the ones that upon seeing the raw wood pieces on the table are not sure what they signed on for. Then there are the "I quilt but never have used a drill" folks. Very artistic and know the basic tools and are ready for more. Don't forget the "I've done this 4x and this time it will be better". I get more and more of these and I love their gusto and the leadership shown when I can't get over to help someone fast enough but they can.
We all have a great time. We laugh, we are never frustrated for long. We are challenged and we are proud of everyone's finished products. I have yet to see an "unfortunate looking" piece leave our workshop.
